We have another abroad beer this week all the way from New Zealand with the Kiwi Pale Ale from the Ground Up Brewing. Weirdly, we didn't taste any of the kiwi. We initially start with why it's called New Zealand. Of course we end up going down a rabbit hole of various New cities. Well, the cities aren't necessarily new, but the name is. New York City, Newtown, New Delhi, New London, etc. A surprising amount of them are tiny cities that never matched the original. We also explore our New Zealand and Australian accents (one of us is clearly better than the other). Trying to make a new city name from scratch proves to be harder than we thought, so maybe we should cut them some slack.
