Welcome back to another week of Short Pour! This week we've got a zesty episode as we check out Meyer Lemon Drop Shandy by Left Hand Brewing. We accidentally go down a dark memory of a scene from the Sixth Sense but we get back on track with this sweet drink.
This week we are focused on the history of Lemonade the drink, not the sixth studio album from Beyonce. We start off distinguishing between the various citrus fruits. We start our lemonade journey in ancient Egypt and rely on an early cook book for how to make it. They essentially made country time well ahead of their time! Being from Kansas City, we bring up the Lemonade, Lemonade, Lemonade - Woooo! Guy. He was the best part of the Royals in the early 2000s. Lemonade also played quite the role in some disease outbreaks like the plague and scurvy. We also discuss the first lemonade stand and the disappointment of stopping at one and we end with a review that essentially just describes lemonade.
