Short Pour
A comedy podcast with two brothers where we happen to drink beer. Each episode we explore a random topic that is somehow related to the beer. Sometimes we learn some history, debate hypothetical tournaments and rankings, and reminisce on various stories and highlights from our childhood.

This week on Short Pour we are checking out Hopshot from Meriwether Cider and our topic for the week is Invisible ink. We explore early uses of invisible ink. I think a lot of us have tried some basic version of this with something like lemon juice and we explore lots of other compounds used. Invisible inks played a big role in a few different major wars and you won't believe the things people used for their inks. Some messages were scratched into hard-boiled eggs, bananas, and some of the inks were a little more man-made than we would like to think! We also look at some of the convoluted steps to reading the invisible ink and how it started to turn into a several step process just to get the message written or to show up. Join us for some laughs through this journey and a short and sweet review of the cider!
